Sports Fan Shaker

Hello stampers!  I have a fun masculine card to share with you today - using one of the Art Impressions Shaker stamp sets: Sports Fan Shaker:
The set comes with this cute little sports fan, as well as a separate stamp of just his foam finger.  After stamping and colouring both images with Copics, I fussy cut around the foam finger, and mounted it over the main image using an Action Wobble.  If you've never used an Action Wobble - you need to give it a try (you can find them in the One Crazy Stamper store here!) - it's a little plastic spring, sandwiched between two adhesives, so when you either shake the card, or flick it with your finger, his little hand wobbles back and forth.  The stamp set comes with one Wobble to start you off.  Here's a closeup from the side so that you can see it peeking out:

The other thing I love about this set - is that you can customize it by using whatever team colours you like for your favourite sports fan - perfect for everyone!  There is still time for you to join in our April Challenge here on the OCS blog - and we'll have a brand new challenge & lots of Design Team inspiration for you on May 1st.  Here are the items you can find in the OCS store:

Sally Swimmer

Happy Weekend everyone!

For Today's post I am sharing with you a card I made using the Art Impression stamp set called "Sally Swimmer". When I first saw this image I burst out laughing! She's quite the character isn't she? I think she is a true child at heart LOL!

The paper is from the Bo Bunny Lemonade collection. I love the bright colours of this collection! I added twine and charms on both of these cards. I'm loving enamel dots right now and the gumdrops from Your Next Stamp are wonderful! The sentiment on the front of the card comes with the Sally Swimmer set!

Here's a look at the inside of my card. The sentiment is another Ai stamp called "Style".

Copics used:
Skin E00, E11, R20, RV25
Tube: Y11, Y13, Y15, YR14, YG23, YG25
Goggles, earrings & flippers: YG21, YG23, YG25
Bathing suit: RV04, RV06, RV09, white Uniball pen polka dots
Sand: E30, E31, E33
Shadow around image: B000

You still have time to enter into our current Challenge for April called "Anything Goes".
We'd love for you to play along and I'd love to see what you come up with!
Happy crafting!

Weekend Warrior

I have a card to share with you today as well as a quick tutorial, but first the card!

This would be a great card for the special man in your life, whether it be for a birthday, anniversary or Father's Day.  The image and sentiment are from the Art Impressions Weekend Warrior set that I have colored with Copics, then mounted it on dp from My Mind's Eye.  The ribbon and brads are from my stash.

Card Recipe
Skin - E01, E11, E13
Shirt/Hat - BG72, BG75, BG78
Pants/Hat - B21, B23, B24, B26
Gloves/Belt - Y21, Y23, Y26, Y28
Mask, Belt, Tools - W4, W7, W10
Drill - R24, R29, R39
Shadow under hat - C2
Ground - C2
Hat, Boots, Hammer Handle - E21, E23, E25
Background - YG61

Now here's my tutorial and it's for everyone out there who is tried of nozzles on adhesive bottles always being plugged.  All you need to fix the problem is some baby bottle nipples and a small piece of double sided foam tape.  What?!!!

Purchase baby bottle nipples that are silicone ( because the liquid will not stick to it ), will fit small bottles ( not the large size ), and are for 0+months in size.  My first attempt at buying the bottle nipples was wrong, so learn from my mistake and don't buy the brand Nuby Veri Flo Non-Drip kind - they have the wrong tip.  The Gerber brand pictured above is great!

After removing the original lid and cleaning off any old remnants of glue from around the neck of the bottle, tightly wrap one ( or two layers - this will depend of the width of the neck of the bottle - experiment and you will soon figure it out ) of the foam tape around the neck, then press it firmly around the neck.  Next stretch the baby bottle nipple over the tape until it is well seated around the rim, and then press firmly around the neck, sealing the bond between the nipple and the foam tape.

Now you are ready to use your new and improved bottle of adhesive with no plugs.

The other benefit is that you will be able to do thin lines of adhesive, or with more pressure you can thicken the lines.
Once you are done using the bottle just make sure to leave a small drop of the adhesive on the very tip of the bottle, which will dry and seal the hole.

The next time you need to use the bottle just flick off the dried adhesive on the tip and proceed to use.

So easy to do and you will love the result!

Golf anyone?

Hi Everyone,

Today I just had to jump in and show you a couple of cards from Donna on our High Hopes Design Team.  For those of you who may not know OCS now owns and operates High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  You can find HH on Facebook, we are even on Pinterest.  The HH Team posts daily just like the awesome OCS Team, you can catch the HH Teams by following our blog.  Oh and we even have a Monthly Challenge on the HH side as well....so more chances to win!

Both of these cards are made using Golfer Rudy and they were just to adorable not to share with everyone.

You can get all the details for both cards on Donna's blog HERE.
You can find the image at High Hopes HERE or you can find it at OCS HERE

Wishing you all a day filled with happiness!

Peony Posey

Hi Fellow Crafters,

April, is certainly passing quickly and with it we are definitely into Spring with April Showers which will bring May Flowers.

For my post today here at OCS, I have used the new Peony Posey stamp from IndigoBlu.  I used the Spectrum Noir pencils to colour the flowers and then went over them with the Clear Wink of Stella to add a bit of glitter.  Before cutting the photo corners some Stick It Adhesive was added to the back of the cardstock.  This adhesive is great for dies where glue doesn't work as well.

Supplies used:
You still have some time to enter this month's "Anything Goes" challenge for a chance to win a prize pack from OCS.   For any supplies that you need check out Lora's OCS online and the brick and mortar stores.  New products are arriving daily and the prices are amazing.

Until next time, keep crafting and have some creative fun.

Hugs.
