Kraftin Kimmie Apple Love

Hi everyone!  Well I am ready for spring...or at least some warm weather.  Where I live we do have winter in the form of rain and 40-50 degree weather.  Tonight it is actually supposed to SNOW!!!  If it does I have the video camera charged so I can take the puppy out in it since he has never seen snow.  Snow here is a HUGE deal because the last time it snowed it was 1989.   So thinking about spring made me jump to soft colors and some happy, fun stamps and when I think happy and fun I usually run to my Kraftin Kimmies!

I wanted a circle-ish shape but have not broken and bought circle nestabilities (yet!) so I used my oval nestabilities to create my shape.  The sentiment is actually from the Kraftin Kimmie stamp Josephine.  I love how the sentiments are so versatile that you can really mix and match!

supplies:  Stamps-Abigail Apple and Josephine Copics-Sketch Accessories-Oval Nestabilities small and large, paper and pattern paper are from my overflowing stash.

Let’s skip winter and move on to Summer

OK, I’m ready for summer………..let’s get this snow melted and the temperature heated up!!  While I was away, I think that sneaky little groundhog did a number on me and saw his shadow.  Brrrrr.  Two weeks ago, I had a sunburn……  should have stayed put and refused to come home!!

I’m sure there are places with worst temperatures that our balmy –4 celsius.  (But my mind is still on the Cruise Ship, sitting in the warmth of the sun, sipping iced Chai Tea Latte’s.)  OK, enough complainin’!!

Today, I’ve chosen to showcase a beautiful Sarah Kay image available at One Crazy Stamper.  Lora has so many beautiful images, it is hard to decide on just one to work on.  This week’s card is a very simple one – as I’ve been suffering with an ugly cough / cold and haven’t felt very creative amongst the kleenex piles.

P1120094 copy

A friend (thank you Wendy!!) came to my rescue by sending me this “paper”……….and the colour was absolutely perfect for a quick card not to distract from the gorgeous image (coloured with my favorite, copics) of “Roses Garden” from Stampavie.  Head right over there to look at all the stamps Lora has on sale.  ------ Wait!!, before you go, please view my card………. It has been a couple of weeks since I’ve done this, so…………. *   ta   da  * .  YEA! it worked.

P1120095 copy

And here is a close up of Rose………………………………………….and of the card opened.  P1120098 copy

I’ve left the inside blank, so I can add one that will be appropriate when I need a card.

Ok, I’m finished.

You can head on over to One Crazy Stamper and shop til you drop, and then some, with Lora’s awesome prices.  See you next week.

Edited to add: So sorry that my card is one day late....I'm away from home and have spotty internet. Please be sure to scroll down and see today's scheduled post! Hugs! ~michelle

Today's post is for One Crazy Stamper, and I just love this adorable image of a Mouse in a Teacup! I colored my image with Copic markers. (R59, R35, R32, R20, YG67, YG17, BG72, BG10, Y19, Y21, W7, W5, W3, W1)

My sentiment is from the Stamping Scrapping Spellbinders Compatible Stamp set called Fancy Accents. I thought the play on words was cute with this image.

Designer paper is My Mind's Eye's Tickled Pink 6x6 collection. I cut one sheet to resemble ribbon and then added pearls to dress it up.

Be sure that you check out some awsome sales Lora is offering! Bildamara stamps being clearanced as well as Magnolia.

Newly in stock items include Whimsy Stamps new release, Penny Black, CC Designs, & Lala crafts. Have fun shopping!

Paper Piecing Tutorial Willow Shopping

Today I am going to give you step by step directions on how to paper piece.

Supplies:

Cardstock: XpressIt

Copics: (see picture below)Patterned paper: My Mind's Eye Tickled Pink
Check out all the new CHA items as well.

First I stamped Willow Shopping with black Memento ink.

I then chose my designer paper: Tickled Pink by My Mind's Eye.

I stamped the image again using Memento black ink on two different patterned papers.

Next I cut out just part of the image: in this case it was the shopping bags.

I glued the cut out shopping bags onto my original stamped image.

Repeat the above steps.

Then I decided I needed a third patterned paper. So I stamped the image once more.

Here you can see all three different patterns on the shopping bags.

I cut out the tissue paper sticking out of the shopping bags and applied glue.

I colored the rest of the image with copics.

After I am done coloring my image, I want to incorporate the remaining dp on my card.

I cut out the dp with an oval nestie to layer my focal image.

I add another piece of the dp for my background.

Here are the copics that I used to color my card.

I cut out a flower with more of the dp to add an embellishment.

Here is the final product.
